# What You'll Need:

→ Slider Assembly

01 - 8 mini slider buns
02 - 8 small breakfast sausage patties (about 1.4 oz each)
03 - 4 large eggs
04 - 4 slices cheddar cheese, halved
05 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
06 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
07 - 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)

→ Seasonings

08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

→ Garnish (optional)

10 - Fresh chives, finely chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until browned and cooked through, approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.
03 - Wipe out the skillet. Whisk eggs with salt and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet over medium-low heat, then pour in the eggs. Gently scramble until just set. Remove from heat.
04 - Slice slider buns horizontally. Spread the bottom halves with a thin layer of mayonnaise if desired. Layer each bottom bun with scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, and half a slice of cheddar cheese. Drizzle with maple syrup.
05 - Place top buns on sliders and arrange on a baking tray. Brush tops with remaining butter. Bake for 5-7 minutes until cheese melts and buns are lightly toasted.
06 - Optionally garnish with finely chopped fresh chives. Serve warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're small enough to feel indulgent without being heavy, and somehow everyone ends up eating at least two.
  • You can prep the sausage and eggs ahead, then assemble everything in minutes before guests arrive.
  • The maple syrup touching the melted cheese creates this moment of sweet and savory that surprises people in the best way.
02 -
  • Don't overcook the eggs—they'll keep cooking in the oven, so pull them off the heat while they still look slightly underdone.
  • If your sausage patties are too thick, they won't cook evenly in the time given; try to find ones that are about the thickness of your pinky finger.
  • The maple syrup really does change the game here—don't skip it or substitute honey, because it's the sweetness that makes the contrast work.
03 -
  • Toast your slider buns lightly before assembly if you're making these more than an hour in advance—it helps them stay sturdy.
  • Keep your sausage patties small and uniform so they cook evenly and fit neatly into the bun without hanging over the edges.
